Provincial Patch

Well what a journey we are having.

Earlier this year Julie and I got together to plan our new business venture.  Because of farm commitments, kids (5 of them between us), drought, etc we decided we would plan to start our quilting business and on-line store next year.  Then I got searching and found an industrial quilting machine on the net at an excellent price and close enough to go and look at. So rang Julie (so excited) And you guessed it, we bought it so our little business was unexpectedly off and running.

The last few months we have been experimenting with our new machine, trying to find fabric suppliers and learning how to create our own on-line store.  Throw blogging into the mix thanks to Julies encouragement and its been quite a learning curve.

We have started taking small quilting jobs now.  We found a fantastic rep. our first orders of fabric come in a couple of weeks.  We are also going to stock some lovely quilt patterns, I'll keep it a secret until they arrive (tomorrow hopefully!!!).  By the end of September we will have our on-line web sales up and running.  AND tomorrow there is a two day convention running in our town and we are having our first market stall.
