Bright On The Murray

What a fabulous weekend I have had with the host Di,  who slaved over us all weekend and Neil (Di's husband) who had to put up with a house full of girls.  The photos tell it all.  It is just a beautiful setting right on the Murray River and a beautiful house.  Pool in the back yard and  a tranquil garden .

Also so my wonderful Mum and 4 sisters and little niece Amarlie.  Its the first time we have ever got together without husband and children(apart for one who is only 9 mths old).  Our time was our own.
So I took my sewing machine and got a bit done until I broke my needle and I didn't have any spares.  But that didn't stop me,  I had a great load of stitching to do( probably enough for a year) but you never know we might of got stuck there (can only hope).
It was my mothers birthday weekend but her birthday is next weekend (good excuse for a weekend away) So Happy Birthday Mum and hope we can celebrate it again there next year.

Oh what a gorgeous house! Great for getaways that's for sure! At our quilt retreat we had frozen ground and trees stripped of leaves to look at with some snow and ice. I think I'd rather have your view somehow....

Looks like a lovely place to spend a weekend!!! Who's home is it? A sister's? A friend's? A retreat house?
QGB is right! I'd rather have your view...although weather-wise, we did have a nice day on Sunday! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
