My day job

This is life as I know it.  Its still a bit dry down in Northern Victoria.  We got about 7.5 ml last week which is good but would love so much more.  It looks cloudy today but no rain coming.  Its just cold.

We have been feeding our cows on the grass on the sides of the road, a couple of hours a day to save our hay.  Then when they get a bit of a belly full we put them back  into to the paddock with a bail or two.
These cows will start calving in a couple of weeks so then back into the milking shed again.  Less quilting then????

hope you get some rain soon.....we had some good rain and more forecast next week........cold day here today........
as they say "make hay while the sun shines" or in your case "make quilts before the milking hits".......

Love the cows - Hope more rain falls your way.

My hat is off to you Kerri, being a dairy farmer is HARD work, you can't just tell the cows your heading for vacation and if it's anything like it is here in the US, you don't get nearly enough pay for the work involved.

Us Victorians are getting used to seeing very little of that wet stuff that falls form the sky Huh?

Keep enjoying all your quilting,Hard life Dairy Farming:)

I just love the comment before this, we Victorians have got a knack with words about drizzle grizzle. Now back to you Kerri. The herd looks in good nick and thanks for giving us fesh milk and cheese .

Hope you get some good rain sometime soon! That paddock looks quite bare... Great that they can clean up the ditches for you though! 8-)
