A day on the farm

Well I have been doing a bit of this ..........................

and a bit of that.............today
My husband is away today and I have been doing a bit of sewing while I was irrigating very dry paddocks.  We have had 10ml in the last couple of day witch has been great, but a lot more would be good.  After irrigating we need follow up rain to keep it growing.  We are starting to try and get some feed for the cows that start calving in June.

Your quilt is coming along. Looking fabulous!!!
I'll send down some of our rain :) Our ducks have had a lovely time playing in the puddles.

Your Gardening quilt is lookin' good. Boy it really does look dry there. It always amazes me that the ranchers don't loose most of their calves since most are born during the coldest part of the winter in North Dakota. It was 10 below zero 2 days ago and this winter has been long and hard, but I guess the little ones are sturdy and can handle it.
